Megalithic blocks on the Temple mount in Jerusalem. Part 1. Jerusalem subterranean: megalithic blocks in the Tunnel of the Temple mount (Tunnel of Kotel, Tunnel of Hasmoneans)
Temple mount in Jerusalem - one of the most honoured places all over the world with very old story. Once it was called as Moria mount. Abraham had come to it to sacrifice his son Itshak, Jacob had a dream on it about a stairway leaving into heaven, Judaic king David wished to build on it a temple and, in the long run, it was raised by his son and heir - Solomon. This dazzling facility (structure) was detailed described in the Tanakh (The book of Mlahim Kingdom I, chapters 6-7). There remains nothing from the Temple of Solomon. It had been destroyed by the babylonian tsar Nabuchodonosor in 586 BC ( see and read further...)

Megalithic blocks on the Temple mount in Jerusalem. Part 2. Excavations of Jerusalem: megalithic blocks in the Jerusalem archaeological park
I keep on introducing you with megaliths of the Temple mount in Jerusalem. This time I present you a number of photos from the area of archeological excavations of the Western wall (nowadays the Jerusalem archaeological park). There are no such great megalithic blocks, as in Tunnel of Kotel, here, however the blocks present at a base of the wall command respect to themselves all the same - their weight is from several tons up to 50 tons and more (according to my estimate, weight of some blocks can exceed 100 tons ( see and read further...)

Building blocks of the antique and medieval time
I have placed below some photos of masonries from I century BC till XVI century AD which was used by Romans, Byzantians, Jews and medieval builders. In the presented photos cementing stone blocks jointing material is good visible which is absent in the "Incan" megalithic masonry. Blocks themselves, as a rule, have much more smaller size, than megaliths, and also are much worse worked (handled). They have no relief faces (sides) on a surface, holes. In a word - they have nothing in common with megalithic masonry in the Tunnel of the Temple mount
and the exavated lowerest part of the Western wall ( see and read further....)

Megalithic blocks of the South America
As the saying is, it is better to see once, than hundred times to hear. Therefore I suggest you to look at some megalithic structures and megalithic blocks of Baalbek (Lebanon) and the South America and to decide, whether they are similar to megalithic blocks of the Temple mount in Jerusalem. Remember that megaliths of the Temple mount and Baalbek have been made from limestones, and megaliths of the South America - from much more hard and solid (fast) andesites and diorites ( see and read further...)

Cult of semifishes-semipeople Dagon and Derketo (Derceto) at philistines and other people of the Middle East and Mesopotamia. Part 1. Dagon - Dagan
Visit of places of worship the main god of Philistines and Phoenicians Dagon and Syrian goddess Derketo (Derceto) - Anargatis (Ataratah, Ataratha) became one of the most stirring impressions of my journey across the Middle East. They represented something like a mermaid - a head, arms and the lower half of a body were human, and below a waist there was a fish tailing. Dagon was West Semitic deity and he was honoured as the god - protector of farming (agriculture) and fisheries. According to the most widespread point of view, Dagon is Hebrew or Canaanitish (I millenary BC) form of the name Dagan mentioned in Akkadian (Assirian-Babylonian) texts (III-I millenaries BC) and in the texts of Mari, Ebla and Ugarit, and also in personal names of Akkadian tsars (Iddin-Dagan, Ishme-Dagan, Sargon of Akkadian) ( read further...)

Cult of semifishes-semipeople Dagon and Derketo (Derceto) at Philistines and other people of the Middle East and Mesopotamia. Part 2. Derketo (Derceto) - Atargatis and Semiramis of Babilonian
Derketo or Derceto was honoured in the Northern Syria in the capacity of the goddesses of fruitful moisture, Moon and fishery, partly at Canaanites and Phoenicians, but especially at Philistines where she was considered as the female form of Dagon and, like him, was imaged with bottom of a body of a fish and, according to "Metamorphoses" of Roman poet Ovid (43 B.C. - nearby 18 A.D.), with scales instead of skin. Strabon (64 or 63 BC - after 21 AD) wrote in "Geography" that "her real name was Afara though Ctesias (the physician of the persian tsar Ahasuerus II, V century BC) named her Derketo". He indicated that "Atargatis (in Aramaic Ataratah), is Syrian goddess whom honours in Bambik (Edessa) in Mesopotamia" ( read further...)

Ashdod and Ashkelon - the most ancient centres of the cult of amphibian-like gods Dagon and Derketo - semipeople-semifishes
The saved up to now ruins of Early Arabian period VI-XI centuries in the southern part of Ashdod. Perhaps, it is all that can speak about the greatness of the civilisation having existed here in former times. The remnants of more old time are known only in excavations ( see and read further...)

Symbols of solar gods in Church of the Sacred Tomb in Jerusalem
I was a great deal surprised when discovered in the Church (Temple) of the Sacred Tomb in Jerusalem the characteristic symbols of solar gods - a solar disk with divergent beams and a two-headed eagle. An analogous by form solar disk has been widely presented in "pagan" culture of the South American Indians and is a constituent of banners of Argentina, Uruguay and Peru. The eagle is known from "pagan" times too in culture of very different nations (slavs, Egyptians, Aztecs etc.) and is one of the most characteristic symbols of the Sun or of solar gods - an ardent opponent of snakes. A two-headed eagle - the National Emblem of Russia, inherited to it from ancient slavs ( see and read further...)

Crack in a column of the Sacred gateway in Jerusalem
In 1549 the Orthodox Christians had not been let to celebrate Easter in the Temple (Church of the Sacred Tomb). Then Sacred Fire had got out a column of the Sacred Gateway, where they stood together with the Patriarch with teardrops in eyes, having splitted it with a rattle. This crack is good visible and now. Candles in arms of the Patriarch were fired by itself ( see and read further...)
