Location of Continents and Oceans in the Paleogene
Let's try to reconstruct Earth as it existed in the Paleocene and Eocene epoch (about 60-40 million years ago), when Earth was experiencing a "golden age" and was inhabited by a highly organized race of "white gods" and the serpent people (see also here).
Under existing paleogeodynamic and paleogeographic reconstructions, the planet then had six continents - Eurasia with North America (united at the Bering Strait), Africa with Arabia (united at the Sinai Peninsula), South America, Antarctica, Australia, and the Indian subcontinent.
These continents separated the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans, and the now defunct Tethys, the site of which is now the Alpine-Himalayan mountain-fold belt, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
